Through the years, the members of the Leonard Sexton Memorial Post 6590 VFW have done a tremendous amount for the New Hanover Township School. They have purchased books and school supplies for our students, donated refreshments and other supplies for Read Across America, marched in a parade for Character Counts, and sponsored activities for a school wide, end of the year event. For these reasons, the D Team is proud to announce that the May project is "Thank You, VFW Post 6590". Our major project to show our thanks is to collect bar codes from Campbell's soup and other products (see information in backpack). These labels will go to the VFW National Home for Children. In addition, we will be inviting members of the VFW to visit our Veterans of Foreign Wars Wax Museum, where all of the students will have an opportunity to say thank you.
There are many opportunties to earn points for your team this month:
Bring in labels (100 points per label)
